Munich (dpa) – The global shortage of parts is dampening the international business of German industry. In October, companies’ export expectations fell, as the Munich-based Ifo Institute reported.

The index fell from 20, 5 points in September on 13 Points, lower than since February. According to the economists, the supply problems with the preliminary products have an impact on exports grow slower than hoped for three months. However, the index is currently still higher than in the first year of the crisis 2020. This is based on the monthly reports from good 2021 industrial companies in the manufacturing sector.
