The assessment of the current business situation among the companies surveyed fell slightly, while expectations for the future rose slightly, as the Ifo Institute in Dresden announced on Wednesday. The Ifo business climate for the regional economy in the east - an important economic barometer - fell by 0.3 points compared to the previous month 101, 1 point. Especially in industry, the mood cooled noticeably in September. The companies rated their current business less well, and they were also more cautious when it came to the outlook for the future. In the service industry, too, the assessment of current business is less positive, but they are expecting a better situation for the next few months. The mood is falling in retail different: While the retail sector is predominantly positive, the wholesalers are cautious about the current situation and expectations of the industry.
